Overview

Hazard Identification Training is designed to raise awareness about potential risks and dangers in the workplace or other settings. The primary goal is to prevent accidents, injuries, and other adverse events by proactively identifying and addressing hazards.

Objectives

  • Raise Awareness – among employees about hazards in their work environment.
  • Risk Recognition – identify and assess potential hazards associated with specific tasks, equipment, or work processes.
  • Compliance with Regulations – compliance with relevant occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Prevent Accidents and Injuries – Equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to identify risks, thus reducing the likelihood of accidents and injuries.
  • Continuous Improvement – Instil a mindset of continuous improvement in hazard identification and risk management.

Communication at ABET Level 3 & Mathematical at ABET Level 3

Delivery Methods

Course is facilitated by a competent subject matter trainer, who utilises a combination of the following techniques to ensure that the session is practical and experiential: Discussion; Role Play; Exercises & Case Studies; Videos/DVD’s; Games, Slide Shows & Written Questions.

Training & Evaluation

Training on a 70% theoretical and 30% practical basis (Incl. Risk Assessment)

The training is relevant for employees at all levels, including managers, supervisors, and frontline workers. It may be industry-specific, addressing hazards that are particularly relevant to certain types of work.
